New Clients – Remote Health Coaching

Choosing a health coach has to feel right to you. Your health coach is your partner, your ally, and your biggest cheerleader – or at least they should be.

If you have questions that aren’t answered here please feel free to schedule a free 15 minute consult Click Here to Schedule Online or scroll to the calendar at the bottom of the page. We can work together for remote health coaching via phone or skype.

What to Expect Your First Visit:

Your first visit is a comprehensive health and personal history – I want to know all the details so that I can know best how to help. All areas of your health and wellness will be discussed.  This includes major illness and life events, a detailed picture of how you’re feeling now and any other concerns you have.  We will talk about stress levels, diet, sleep, lifestyle, and of course mental and emotional well-being.  Generally, this takes 1.5 hours for adults and about an hour for children up to 10 years old.

How To Prepare:

  1.  Please complete the new client paperwork that is emailed to you with the appointment confirmation. This paperwork is comprehensive and will take time and consideration to complete. It must be completed, along with the consent forms, prior to your appointment or your visit will need to be rescheduled.

2.  Please upload to the client portal or email to me at amy@dramyneuzil.com:

  • Copies of any recent laboratory or diagnostic testing
  • Any medications or supplements you are currently taking along with the dosage.
  • If you have an extremely lengthy or complex medical history it is helpful to create a health history timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Amy different from my doctors and local practitioners?

Amy is trained as a Naturopathic doctor but is acting as a health coach rather than as a direct medical practitioner, due to practicing remotely.

Amy’s goal is to make a significant impact on your life and health through a series of small, manageable changes.

Because Amy works only with remote clients, she can not diagnose or “treat” illness, but she can work with you to enhance your overall health and well-being.  Also because of the remote nature of the work Amy can not order lab work at this time.  Dr. Amy is NOT an M.D. or a D.O. a.nd requires that you maintain a relationship with a good primary care provider in your area.

What if I Don’t Live Where Dr. Amy Does?

No worries! Phone and Skype appointments allow us to work together no matter where you or I might be.   All recent lab work and any necessary pictures can be uploaded to the client portal. Amy is English speaking, so please bring a translator if we will need one. Click here to schedule or scroll to the calendar at the bottom of the page

What should I expect during my first visit with  Amy?

Your first visit will be about an hour and a half (an hour if the client is under 10 years old). During this time your complete history will be discussed, as well as your symptoms, family history, lifestyle, emotional health, and diet. Based on the complete set of information gathered, Amy will outline a detailed plan for you that will involve small steps towards a big goal.  Amy will suggest that you visit your primary care or specialists if she feels there is something more serious that needs to be addressed.

What Conditions are Helped by Remote Health Coaching?

Amy works with your body, health, and lifestyle as a whole. Our plan of action will address your health and wellness in a complete way to help increase your quality of life, energy, and motivation. This can be effective in most situations because any step you take to improve your well-being overall will help to change your energy level, joyfulness and trickle down to actual health conditions. Amy has a special interest in MTHFR mutations and the anxiety, depression, and fertility issues that go with them (I’m a mutant too!) as well as gallbladder sludge and weight loss.  If you’re not sure if we’d be a good fit please schedule a free 15-minute consult to discuss your particulars.

Can I work with  Amy and Other Practitioners?

Yes! Amy is able to help you to make positive changes and improve your well-being overall through remote health coaching, but it is important that you maintain good relationships with primary care providers and hands-on practitioners where appropriate.  Amy will make sure that her input is not conflicting with these practitioners in any way.

Does Amy take insurance?

Not at this time.

How long does it take to feel better and what does it cost?

Every person is different and every situation is unique, but we’re aiming for noticeable improvement within the first month. After your initial visit, we can discuss how close a relationship you’d like. Generally, it’s important to follow-up at least once per month for the first three months, but if you’d like a little bit more support we can talk up to once per week.  After the first three months, we will reassess and see what suits you best.

Hi Amy. I just tried to schedule a consultation with you on Tuesday 8/1 @ 7:30 but I am not sure I was successful. When I tried to look at that appt slot it is no longer available though. My most pressing issue is digestive distress including galbladder sludge, SIBO, leaky gut, GERD, IBS, histamine intolerance and multiple food sensitivities. I am currently taking Disbiocide, FC Cidal, and a suppliment for H Pylori but need guidence desparately.!

      Hi Jackie,
I’m technically on maternity leave right now, so I do occasionally take a new client, but there can be a bit of chaos during appointments if my daughter decides she isn’t into it. Ha! So not the most professional of experiences, but if you’re game then I can let them know you have special permission. 🙂 So glad you liked the book!

I’m completely flexible and have a 2 year old myself, so I totally get it! I’ve seen a few of the practitioners before, but would love to Skype with you. Please let them know and I will call in a few days to schedule. Sorry for the delay in responding, I couldn’t find the page where I posted this comment! I’m so excited to chat!

      Hi Rusty,
Sadly in Texas NDs aren’t licensed to do physical exam. I typically send people to Dr. Sherry Neyman, MD at Renaisance Women’s group. She’s great, and thorough and she and I have been sharing clients for years so she’s used to working with people who prefer alternative therapies.
